Hi friends, let's get this out of the way:
Phony Balony regrets to inform you that we will be unavailable during the month of July. We will be checking our emails periodically while gadding about the planet, living the newlywed dream, but straight back to work harder than ever upon our return. Should you have anything pressing, please ensure you communicate that in the subject line of your email.
I know it's been some time, but I assure you the blog has been on my mind. Finding time to update you all has proved more difficult than I anticipated when I last wrote. I promise, it was all for good causes!!
So, we leave on Sunday, at precisely 3:55pm from Toronto, for Iceland! We have been able to make our dream wedding happen, and as such will be married on July 1, 2012. Yes, that's Canada Day, and it's also World Cup Final day. There's a lot going on. But we have 16 lovely friends and family members making the trip with us, to go and see what we hope is one of the strangest, most beautiful places on earth. I have it on good authority (thanks, Internet!) that it will not disappoint.
Following that (not bragging. Seriously. Still can't believe it.), we become the luckiest people we know. Honeymoon in Paris. I don't think there's a more romantic phrase. Unless maybe you say it IN French. Which I will not, as my French accent is so bad, it would even leak into text.
I had been so focused on glaciers and volcanoes and the Blue Lagoon, that I had forgotten about cobblestone, croissants and bistro's. Ceremony programs and packable decorations, notarised documents, wading through the unfathomable Icelandic language, dress fittings....and what to wear in PARIS! I have never known a more daunting fashion task. Picking my wedding dress was easier than deciding what to stroll the Left Bank in.
And so, because there is never nearly enough time to prepare for overseas travel...I'm keeping this one short kids. My to-do list has grown exponentially during this post.
Pictures and food tales upon our return...
